Miami, FL (June 30, 2022) – Puerto Rican multi-platinum singer-songwriter who adds flavor to the urban genre with his unique mix of melodies, Jossef, will transport fans with the release of his new single “QUE RARO”, the singer’s first work under the Universal Music Latino label.

Jossef, who was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has amassed over a billion streams across all digital platforms at his young age. The singer-songwriter catapulted himself onto the music scene with his songs “Enciéndelo”, “Persia Remix” and “X2” paralyzing the entire world alongside popular urban artists genre such as Ñengo Flow, Jamby ‘El Favo’ and Eix. His talent and roots have inspired him to explore new creative opportunities to maximize his love of music and share it with an global audience. He’s collaborated with artists such as Mariah Angeliq, Ñengo Flow, Jamby ‘El Favo’, EIX and Totoy El Frío. His new musical phase shows promise and will highlight a unique venture into multiple genres, including alternative rock, urban and soft R&B, among others. Written by Jossef together with Fantasma and produced by OceanVi and Charlie Night City, “QUE RARO” speaks to the lack of reciprocity when a person is still in love with another and can’t connect on a personal level with someone new who’s willing to create a new love story with them. As the chorus of the track says, “What else can I do if, after all, you still think about him?”

The official music video was directed by Abez, and tells the story of a couple who shares their stages of love. Despite the connection and love they have for each other, the woman’s desire for her previous lover results in her abandoning her new partner. The story, which many can identify with, is a reggaeton delight and includes Joseff’s trademark intro style, typical of his musical evolution.
According to the artist, “This song signifies moments that could have happened to me, as they could have happened to anyone else. That’s the beauty of music, with just one person who identifies with what we artists are saying, we meet the goal. That’s what ‘QUE RARO’ and my music is about. I will always make music with meaning, so at least one person can identify with it. That’s what makes all of this process beautiful.”
