Miami, FL (December 16, 2022) – Created from his living room in just 15 minutes, Venezuelan singer-songwriter ADSO releases his new song “Chapulín” inspired by the iconic and beloved Mexican TV hero, ‘el chapulín colorado’, a TV character that touched the childhood of many Latin Americans, including ADSO. As a gift to fans just in time for the holiday season, the track highlights ADSO’s catchy and trendy musical essence. “Chapulín” is now available on all digital music platforms.
Produced by Juan David Correa aka “Animal” and composed by ADSO, “Chapulin” is catchy, refreshing and upbeat, perfect for kicking off a party. The track pays tribute to the show by opening with the iconic liner, “y ahora, quién podrá defenderme?” (and now, who can defend me?), which aired on the popular TV show prior to the “Chapulin Colorado’s” appearance. With the track, ADSO proves that he will become your hero too.
“I identify a lot with the character, and his slogans like ‘more humble than a lettuce” takes me back to my childhood. He was my favorite hero, which is why I created the song in his honor … because I resonate with his character as compared to my artistic abilities,” expressed ADSO. Furthermore, the cover’s concept combines “el Chapulin’s” trademark antennae with ADSO’s staple racoon character. The music video for “Chapulín” was filmed in Miami, Florida and directed by Omar Silva from 2 homeless art. In the visuals, ADSO appears dressed in the colors of ‘el chapulín colorado’ with the antennae and the squeaky hammer. From Venezuela to the world, ADSO recently released the song “11:20” with Colombian duo Natan & Shander. He’s earned over 150+ million combined streams across all digital platforms and is considered one of the most versatile artists in Latin music today. Initially starting his career in the Trap genre and becoming the leader of the urban movement in Venezuela in 2017 alongside Micro TDH, Big Soto, Trainer and Jeeiph, he’s a wide success across digital streaming platforms and social media with previous releases, including “Como Si Nada” and “Vámonos” with Kiko El Crazy. With his eyes set on 2023, ADSO is committed to become one of his generation’s leading artists, with an incomparable Venezuelan flow. |
