MIAMI, FLORIDA (September 8th, 2023) – Chiquis, Jacqie, Mike, Jenicka, and Johnny surprised their mother’s fans a few months ago with the release of the music video for the emotional song “Pedacito De Mí“, which is part of Jenni Rivera’s posthumous album “Misión Cumplida“. While the video has more than 1.9 million views on YouTube and the single peaked at No. 1 on the Popular Chart of Mexican radio, the children of the “Diva de la Banda” share five unique facts behind the filming of the video:
- Special Guests: In addition to featuring Chiquis, Jacqie, Mike, Jenicka, and Johnny, the video included Jacqie’s four children Jaylah, Jenavieve, Jordan, and Julián as special guests. Jacqie’s youngest son was a bit restless exploring the set, but in the end, between her and the uncles presence, they were able to record the scenes with the whole family.
- Jenni Rivera’s speech in the introduction: At the beginning of the video, the Eternal Diva of the Band can be heard expressing her feelings as an empowered and proud mother of her children. That emotional speech was taken from a performance that Jenni Rivera had at the formerly known Nokia Theater – currently the Peacock Theater – in Los Angeles, California. - Chiquis and her seven changes of clothes: It is no secret to anyone that the eldest of Jenni’s daughters, Chiquis is known for setting trends with her signature way of dressing. For this video, her brothers commented that she brought “almost her entire closet“, as she had about seven changes of clothes for the shoot.
- Jenicka’s harmonies: Without a doubt, one of the best surprises of the video is the “cameo” of Jenni’s youngest daughter, Jenicka Lopez. Jenicka delights us with her voice on the song, as she accompanies her sisters during the harmonies for the song that represents so much for them as a family. - Photos, memories and the blue butterfly: Using the frames with photographs of each member of the family with Jenni Rivera was a way to relive all the special moments that each of her children lived with her.
