“Historia” is the first official single to Jay Wheeler’s upcoming 8th studio album
Miami, FL (February 9, 2024) – Jay Wheeler, commonly known as “La Voz Favorita” (the favorite voice), has released his new enchanting and vocally mesmerizing single “Historia”. As the follow-up to his recently released album “TRAPPii”, which debuted in the Top 6 on Spotify Global’s Top Album Debuts of the Week, “Historia” is the first official single release to his highly-anticipated upcoming 8th studio album. With this release, Jay is continuing his reign as one of the leading faces in the new generation of the Latin Urban Scene.
“La Historia que Quiero es Contigo” (The story I want is with you), the first line in the chorus of the track, transports you on Jay’s introspective journey of self-discovery and the conflicts that come with it, with a message that resonates with all those who are trying to figure out their “Historia” (story).
In the visually captivating music video, Jay is battling with his internal self as he confronts the echoes of his past and the conflicts of moving forward. In an empty theater, the narrative is based on “Jay vs. Jay”, as he is on stage while simultaneously watching himself from the crowd. The visuals conceptualize the experience of the internal battles of self-discovery, and the importance of progressing.

The music video, produced by Filmheads, takes place in Jay’s home country of Puerto Rico, as he gets ready to headline 2-SOLD OUT shows at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico for his “Para Siempre” concert special on February 14th and 15th.
