The event was held at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, CA, and honored a wide-range of female recipients who have illuminated and elevated women across a wide-range of industries, including Journalist, New York Times #1 Bestselling Author, Former First Lady of California, and Founder of Shriver Media, Maria Shriver, First Mexican-Born Treasurer of the United States Rosario Marin, and Dr. Antonia Novello, the first woman and first Hispanic to serve as U.S. Surgeon General.
Lupita Infante‘s recognition among these remarkable women at this ceremony further proves her positioning as a prominent female figure in the new generation of Musica Mexicana. In addition to receiving this prestigious honor, Lupita also put on a performance in classic Mexican fashion alongside an all-female Mariachi, further showcasing the immense talent and power that exist within women in the genre.
