Released under KJ74 Entertainment, “TUKUN” also entered Spotify’s Top 50 in the Dominican Republic, Panama and Honduras and has surpassed 2 million YouTube views.
RAFIK, a talented singer and producer of Lebanese and Colombian descent, is known for his mix of urban, techno and afro beat sounds with authentic Caribbean beats. With a one-of-a-kind production team, including 15x GRAMMY® winning engineer Jaycen Joshua (Beyonce, Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus, among others), TUKUN describes the feeling when you’re next to someone, and your heartbeat accelerates to the tune of “tukun, tukun, tukun.”
Written by Gioann Jose Pagliariani Gil, the song was organically born out of a WhatsApp group. After the exchange of multiple voice notes between RAFIK and Gioann, the hook to the track was imminent. RAFIK reached out to his producer who laid out an infectious Afrobeat that led to the melody of this new summer banger.
The video highlights the story of a man captivated by a woman, and how she makes him feel. The official video features vibrant visuals and colors set against local streets and ocean views from an island paradise.
