CleanBoss to serve as official cleaning partner of One Times Square |
NEW YORK, NY (December 27, 2024) – CleanBoss co-founders GRAMMY® Award winning rapper and singer-songwriter Pitbull and Joy Mangano today joined the co-organizers of Times Square New Year’s Eve to unveil the New Year’s Eve Ball for 2025 and announce a new cleaning partnership with One Times Square, the home of the New Year’s Eve Ball. As part of the announcement, Joy, Pitbull, and co-organizers of Times Square New Year’s Eve helped install the final of the new Crystal Triangles on the New Year’s Eve Ball. “For more than 100 years, One Times Square and the world-famous New Year’s Eve Ball have been the shining emblems for our New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square,” said Tom Harris, President of the Times Square Alliance. “This year’s Ball Reveal and the new partnership with CleanBoss are helping to keep that tradition alive and make this year’s New Year’s Eve celebration the best one yet.” Following this year’s New Year’s Eve celebration, the Ball and Numerals will be retired and displayed at One Times Square as part of the new Times Travel immersive museum experience, opening in 2025. A new Ball and Numerals will be raised for next year’s celebration. “As we start the countdown to New Year’s Eve, we can’t help but look ahead to what’s to come in 2025 when One Times Square will open its doors to the public as a year-round destination for entertainment, technology, and art,” said Michael Phillips, President of Jamestown, the owner of One Times Square. “We know CleanBoss is the perfect partner to keep the New Year’s Eve Ball shining bright and to make sure One Times Square sparkles when it opens to the public next year.” |

“We’re honored to stand on the world’s biggest stage, kicking off a healthy new year as the official cleaning partner of the Times Square ball drop,” said CleanBoss co-founders Joy Mangano and Pitbull. “We created CleanBoss for the underdogs – the parents, house cleaners, janitors, and countless unsung heroes who rely on cleaning products every day and deserve safer, better solutions. Our powerful products are here to prove that you don’t need harsh chemicals to be extremely effective. To the dedicated cleaning crews who hit the streets at midnight to clean up after the celebrations – we thank you. Here’s to 2025, the CleanBoss revolution is here and we’re just getting started.” CleanBoss, an innovative cleaning brand developing non-toxic products that are better for people and the planet, will serve as the cleaning partner of One Times Square, the home of the New Year’s Eve Ball. Joy Mangano and Pitbull each bring special, personal connections to the CleanBoss brand. Joy has been reinventing clean for over 25 years, building a $3 billion empire with game-changing products designed to make life better and brighter for families, including the iconic Miracle Mop. Pitbull is fueled by the legacy of his late mother, who was an immigrant house cleaner in Miami and experienced the toxicity of chemical cleaners first-hand. The New Year’s Eve Ball is a geodesic sphere, 12 feet in diameter, and weighs 11,875 pounds. The Ball is covered with a total of 2,688 crystal triangles that vary in size, and range in length from 4 3/4 inches to 5 3/4 inches per side. For Times Square 2025, all 2,688 crystal triangles that adorn the Ball are manufactured by Gillinder Glass, a New York-based manufacturer, and replaced for this New Year’s Eve celebration. The new Crystals showcase two special patterns: one that features the building’s legacy and one that highlights what’s to come at One Times Square. The 2025 One Times Square Crystal design features long linear cuts with a circle near the top representing the 139’ pole and the iconic building famous for the Ball Drop Celebration. The Ever Crystal design consists of three pairs of interlocking rings surrounded by diamond-shaped facets that provide the setting for the letter E, symbolizing unity and enduring love. |
