Wheeler will Headline the 50th Anniversary Calle Ocho Music Festival on March 9 in Little Havana
MIAMI, FL. (February 6, 2025) – Multi-platinum Puerto Rican recording artist Jay Wheeler was named King of Carnaval Miami 2025, which will be celebrated in February and March 2025 in South Florida. As part of this year’s festivities, Wheeler will headline the renowned Calle Ocho Music Festival on March 9, with a show specially produced for the Miami community. The announcement was unveiled today at a press conference held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, FL, with the President of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, Pablo Lau, accompanied by members of the board of directors and notable sponsors.
With this honor, Jay Wheeler demonstrates his continued impact, influence, and unconditional support for the Miami community. “I am honored to be the King of this year’s Carnaval Miami, especially in this significant year celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana,” expressed Jay Wheeler. “Joining the list of so many legendary artists who have represented the Miami Carnival as Kings and Queens is an incredible privilege. The Carnaval Miami is a prominent annual fundraising event hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana supporting the Kiwanis Little Havana Foundation’s youth development programs. It represents a $40 million economic impact for local artists, vendors, and small businesses throughout the Miami metropolitan area. Miami Carnival hosts a series of events that attract one million attendees each year and is best known for hosting the largest Latin event in the country: the Calle Ocho Music Festival.
