Miami, FL. (March 20, 2025) – Two of the most recognized voices in Latin music, Elvis Crespo and Jerry Rivera, team up to release a revamped version of the Crespo classic, “Nuestra Canción”. Celebrating traditions that will stir nostalgia and memories, Jerry Rivera confessed that this was one of his favorite Crespo songs, and fate led them to create an epic collaboration.
This week, Tropical hitmaker Elvis Crespo is back on the Billboard charts as “Nuestra Canción,” with Jerry Rivera, debuts at No. 10 on the Tropical Airplay chart (dated March 22). The new version of his 1998 track marks his return to the ranking’s top 10 after more than five years. Article HERE.

This release not only revives a classic that defined a generation but also has a special significance, as the video was filmed with the graduating class of Crespo’s high school where he took his first steps as an artist: the Margarita Janer Palacios School in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
Since its original release in 1998, Elvis Crespo’s “Nuestra Canción” has won hearts with its blend of nostalgia and joy. Today, the song returns with a revamped version that includes Jerry Rivera’s trademark voice. “Jerry isn’t someone who normally participates in collaborations, but I understand that the music spoke to him. He’s a fan of the song, and when I mentioned Nuestra Canción to him, he didn’t hesitate to join. Jerry Rivera is an extremely talented and disciplined artist. I’m a fan of his music, and I’m honored to share this moment with him,” said Elvis Crespo
Written originally by Homero D’ Rodríguez, this new version was produced by Elvis Crespo and Francisco “Pulpo” Barbosa. The song opens with an ’80s-style pop ballad introduction, creating an intimate and emotional atmosphere before evolving into the danceable tropical fusion that characterizes this classic.
Directed by Fran Gutierrez of El Cuervo Films, the music video for “Nuestra Canción” has a special meaning, as it was filmed with the graduating class of Margarita Janer Palacios School in Guaynabo, PR, Elvis’ high school where he received his first accolades as an artist. Inspired by the tradition of Senior Proms in Puerto Rico, the video’s story reflects the excitement and nostalgia of an unforgettable graduation party, where a single song can mark a memory forever. “Our Puerto Rican culture is deeply connected to music, and orchestras are always present at graduation parties. I grew up in that movement and remember how, from my beginnings with Grupo Manía, the Senior Proms were a part of our lives,” he added.
With this release, Elvis Crespo and Jerry Rivera unite generations and pay tribute to Puerto Rican music, nostalgia, and culture.
