Miami, FL. (March 21, 2025) – For multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jay Wheeler, music is his refuge, and today he shares his most personal work to date with the world, representing the birth of a renewed version of himself through his album, “Girasoles” (Sunflowers). The moving 15-track album musically represents three stages: difficulties faced in life (represented by planting a seed), a period of transformation (growth), and maturity (a full bloom). Released by Dynamic Records/EMPIRE, Wheeler takes us on his deepest and most emotional journey yet.

Why “Sunflowers”? As seen on the striking album cover, which shows Jay’s head immersed in a sunflower, this project represents the feeling of being stuck, life’s challenges, and those moments when personal growth seems impossible. However, as you mature through time, overcoming challenges and obstacles, you bloom into something beautiful. The message is clear: “Never settle and keep working on yourself, show love to others, and continue to evolve despite difficulties, just as sunflowers continue to grow toward the light,” Wheeler expressed.

“People talk about outcomes, but no one talks about the process of getting there. This is ‘Girasoles,’ an album full of emotions, showing my evolution as an artist and a man. I want fans to identify with each track and make it their own,” shared Jay Wheeler about “Girasoles”, an album dedicated to the three most important women in his life: Zhamira (his wife), Aiunii (his daughter), and his mother.

Paving the way for this release, Wheeler released two singles from the first phase of “Girasoles”, depicting life’s difficulties: “Una Como Tú” and “No Sé Qué Me Queda” (NSQMQ). Both songs delve into themes of heartbreak.

“Abrázame Fuerte” (Focus Track) and “Aiunii”, represent maturity and convey Jay’s feelings about becoming a father for the first time and everything he wants in life. Inspired by the maturity phase, Wheeler premieres today the official video for “Abrázame Fuerte”, directed by José E. Sagaro of FilmHeads.
