Miami, FL (January 10, 2023) – Recently named Billboard’s “Artist On the Radar”, Puerto Rican singer ROBI kicks off 2023 with on a high note and premieres one of his favorite singles to date. A result of the artist’s musical journey, “Tu Mundo” fuses rock with the new, and classic, urban slang from ROBI‘s native Puerto Rico. Released under Interscope Records/Orion Records, “Tu Mundo” is available on all digital platforms HERE.
Produced by Ando con Jon and Flamez, the track features a new fresh sound for Latin music and is a reflection of the musical direction ROBI is heading in this 2023. “‘Tu Mundo’ arose at a time when I was deciphering my sound, and it has become one of my all time favorite singles because it’s a song that I identify with, from the lyrics to the sound. It showcases the essence of what I want to do with my music this year, and it’s a song that through time, I’ve grown very fond of, as have my fans”, expressed ROBI.
“Lost in your body and addicted to your kisses,” says part of the song’s lyrics which were inspired by ROBI‘s own experience. “Tu Mundo” follows the story of the moment you start getting to know someone, without really knowing their intentions. The moment you’re falling in love and, at the same time, having doubts about who you’re falling in love with.
Filmed in Miami, FL, the official music video was directed by José Sagaro of Film Heads. The video begins with ROBI performing between palm trees, while at the same time countless scenes begin to appear, representing images running through ROBI’s mind. The video visually follows the story of someone who’s trapped in another’s world and doesn’t know in what direction to head.
With almost 200 million plays and 4.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, iconic collaborations, a nomination for Premios Juventud (“New Generation – Male”), being invited to the White House and paying tribute to global icon Daddy Yankee at the 35th Hispanic Heritage Awards with the renewed version of the hit song “Tu Príncipe”, ROBI closed 2022 in style and is ready to take over 2023 his way.
