Mexico City, Mexico (October 29, 2024) – Renown Musica Mexicana HITMAKER, Geovani Cabrera, has signed an exclusive, global publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) Mexico. Originally from Culiacan, Sinaloa Mexico, Cabrera is a 15-year Latin music veteran, whose work has been recognized with multiple awards, making him one of the most sought after songwriters in Musica Mexicana for his unforgettable corridos and ranchera tracks.
Among Cabrera’s hits are “JGL” performed by Luis R. Conriquez and La Adictiva; “Se Me Olvidó” recorded by Christian Nodal and “A Través Del Vaso” by Los Sebastianes. Further, Cabrera has also written for other prominent Musica Mexicana artists, including Caliber 50, Banda MS, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, Banda Carnaval, and Gerardo Ortiz.
Geovani Cabrera has won 19 BMI Awards and 4 SACM awards. Additionally, his latest work, “Bandida”, recorded by Grupo Marca Registrada, reached No. 2 on Billboard’s “Latin Airplay” chart.
